iPhone PLC App
PLCs begin to connect beyond the boundaries of the workplace, using the iPhone
application that the status of data or even
display controllers control over the
air directly through commands.
Since the Apple iPhone was introduced in 2007, there are automatically linked to the plant surprisingly few applications that currently exist. (There are many engineering calculations book-style apps.) A Google search on “iPhone PLC” appears only mobile SCADA, an application for control registers and values in near real time. It was originally based Omron when it launched in 2009 but has since expanded to include Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and several other support registered.

How to choose DCS or PLC for new automation system
Welcome back om-ron PLC dot com, longtime to see us as my work busy.
OK,first of all,I would like to present about PLC VS DCS which will select for your project or system.
Traditionally, users can choose between a PLC or a PLC / SCADA approach when selecting a control for use in the process. Richard Sturt, Rockwell Automation Business Development Manager, Process Industries, believes that Rockwell offers users a solution for the elements of both approaches.

An important advantage of the traditional DCS was that the supplier a “systems approach” and took it was designed for large applications. Much of the work of integrating different parts of the system was provided by the DCS vendor with a single database for the entire system. (more…)
